LIST OF CHARITIES IN INDIA

    Through Yoga, Mr. J.P. Agarwal and Mrs. Kamal Agarwal are raising funds for the charities listed below.  These organizations support the cause of value-based education and upbringing of indigent children in various parts of India.

    More information on these organizations will be added here as and when available.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

  1. Gurukul Arsha Kanya Vidyapeetha
      Najibabad (Bijnore), Uttar Pradesh
    • A residential Gurukul for girls, running entirely on philanthropy.
    • About 70 girls are studying all modern subjects (post graduate level) plus Indian philosophy and the Vedas.
    • Yearly maintenance cost - Rs 12,000 per student.

       
  2. Manava Kalyan Kendra / Dronsthali Arsha Kanya Gurukul
      Dehradun, Uttarakhand
     
    • A residential Gurukul housing more than 100 girls, imparting value based education for over a decade.
    • Few senior volunteers are provided with lodging and boarding so they may dedicate their full energy to the development of the institute.
    • Yearly maintenance cost - Rs 12,000 per student.

       
  3. Banwasi Chatravas
     
    Rudrapur (District Nainital),
    Uttarakhand
    • This hostel houses more than 66 girls from far off adivasi areas of India that are under constant threat of religious conversion.
    • Under the care of a dedicated lady warden, these girls are being trained and instructed in Indian culture and values so that they may return to their respective adivasi areas and disseminate those values.
    • Yearly maintenance cost - Rs 7,500 per student.

       
  4. Jeevan Prabhat
      Gandhidham, Gujarat
    • A home built to help the widows and orphans of the massive earthquake of 2001 and later the devastating Tsumani of 2004.
    • Houses 162 children (89 boys and 73 girls) in two separate blocks. The home provides the children with  loving paternal care to enable them to grow up into fine men and women of India. 
    • Yearly maintenance cost - Rs 12,000 per child.

       
  5. Jeevan Prabhat
      Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu
    • A home built after the Tsunami of 2004 on the pattern of Ghandhidham
    • Currently provides care for 13 children (7 girls and 6 boys). The hostel building is almost complete.
    • Yearly maintenance cost - Rs 12,000 per child.
